These include:

• managing, supervising and implementing military defence matters as well as land, sea, air and space defence forces, such as:
• ground combat units, navy and air force;
• engineer, traffic, communication, intelligence units;
• command, staff and other non-combat units;
• reserve and supporting forces of defence institutions;
• logistics units (supply of equipment, necessities and devices, etc.);
• healthcare for military personnel in the field;
• providing civil capabilities in international operations within the scope of crisis response;
• assistance in developing defence plans and implementing exercises in which civil institutions and inhabitants should also take part;
• managing research and development policies and the accompanying funds for the field of defence;
