Evaluation of real estate

The evaluation of real estate means expressing an opinion regarding the value of real estate on the basis of the correct use of methods and techniques required for professionally and ethically correct evaluation of real estate.

The need to evaluate real estate occurs in cases of purchase or sale, legal disputes, lien on real estate or other needs that require information on its actual value.

To pursue the activity, the conditions for a certified real estate appraiser must be met.

Applies for SKD:

  • Real estate agencies L68.310

Conditions

  • Applicants who wish to pursue this activity must register the business activity, and have the appropriate legal status.

  • On the basis of special methods for evaluating real estate, certified appraisers of real estate make an evaluation through which they provide information regarding the actual value of the real estate to clients.

A certified real estate appraiser is a natural person who has acquired a licence from the Slovenian Institute of Auditors to perform the tasks of a certified real estate appraiser.

A significant difference between a real estate appraiser and a certified appraiser is that a certified appraiser evaluates real estate by order of the court, while a real estate appraiser evaluates real estate by order of clients.
