This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement and pursuit of an activity are established.

Regulations and conditions:

  • Wild Game and Hunting Act

  • Hunting clubs manage wild game on hunting grounds in a sustainable manner. A concession is granted for sustainable wild game management on hunting grounds; the manager is determined based on a public tender.

The right to hunt is granted to a citizen of the Republic of Slovenia or foreign citizen with permanent residence in the Republic of Slovenia who has passed the hunting examination and has a valid hunting card or is employed on hunting grounds for a special purpose.

Anyone who has not passed the hunting examination may hunt only when accompanied by a qualified person with a valid hunting card or someone employed on hunting grounds for a special purpose.

Foreign citizens who do not have permanent residence in the Republic of Slovenia may hunt as hunt guests or guests who may acquire the right to participate in hunting from the manager. The manager must ensure professional supervision of hunting guests.

Any adult citizen of the Republic of Slovenia with a firearms licence who has passed the gamekeeper examination and has had three years experience in hunting as a member of a hunting organisation may become a gamekeeper.

Dormouse hunting is only permitted with a permit issued by the manager. Falconry may be carried out by a person with a valid hunting card and an appropriate permit.
