Before placing foodstuffs on the market, the facilities in the field of production, processing and marketing foodstuffs must be entered in the register kept by the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection (UVHVVR).

• • Decree on supplementary activities in agriculture

A supplementary farm activity may be implemented after the finality of a permit to pursue supplementary farm activity and after all conditions determined by the sector regulations to begin an individual supplementary activity are fulfilled.

Applies to the following activities/services:

• List of activities usually carried out as a craft

  For activities listed on the List of activities usually carried out as a craft, business entities registering these activities must also be entered in the register of crafts at the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia (OZS) ex officio.
• This applies to the following activities/services:
• grain milling, production of flour, groats, cereals or bran (wheat, rye, oats, corn, buckwheat etc.),
• processing and milling of rice: production of peeled rice, polished, glazed, cooked or processed rice, production of rice flour;
• milling of field produce: production of flour and groats from dry leguminous plants, roots, bulbs, nuts etc.,
• the preparation of cereals and similar products;
• the production of flour mixtures and other additives;
• the production of prepared raw dough for pies, pastries, bread etc.
