• Cultural Heritage Protection Act

  The cultural protection consent permitting research and the removal of archaeological finds is issued by the minister responsible for culture on condition that such research is supervised by the Institute for the Protection of Cultural Heritage of Slovenia and that the research is conducted by a person with professional qualifications to do archaeological research.

Entities trading in cultural heritage must be registered in the register of traders kept by the ministry responsible for culture.

Storage of national wealth - The minister determines the minimum professional, technical and spatial requirements which must be met by owners while storing and transporting national wealth. The standards of protection and storage of museum material in national and authorised museums are also determined.

As a condition for obtaining consent for cultural protection, the Institute may determine the preparation of a conservation plan. The drafter of the conservation plan may be a person qualified to implement specialised protection works.

• restorer.
