Other beauty treatment (96.022)

This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement of an activity are established. 

Regulations and conditions:

  • Small Business Act

    In the event that the activity is being pursued as a craft,
    it is necessary to obtain a craft business permit, meet the requirements of vocational qualifications and be entered in the register of crafts at the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia.

Applies to the following activities/services:

  • facial and body care, depilation,
  • pedicure

    For activities listed on the List of activities usually carried out as a craft, business entities registering these activities must also enter in the register of crafts at the
    Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia (OZS) ex officio.

This applies for the following  activities/services:

  • providing manicures,
  • applying make-up

  • Rules on minimum sanitary and health conditions for hygienic care and similar activities

    The carriers of hygienic care are obliged to plan and implement services according to the minimum sanitary and health conditions and to use technologies that are health- and environmentally friendly
    to ensure the maximum rate of health protection of users of hygienic care services.

Applies to the following activities:

  • applying make-up,
  • providing manicures,
  • attaching artificial nails,
  • removing hair and other procedures carried out in beauty salons

  • facial make-up, depilation,
  • pedicures

Activities/services added under the questions and answers table (SURS):

  • gelling, painting, extending nails;
  • extending eye-lashes;
  • removing body hair;
  • laser tattoo removal;
  • skin pealing;
  • organising children's parties, including hairstyling and manicures for girls (the organisation of children's parties may be classified under codes  93.299 or 96.090). In the event that hair styling for payment will be carried out at such parties, the service is classified under subclass 96.021, and manicure services under sub-class 96.022);

Cross-border/temporary provisions of activity

Performance of the activity in Slovenia is possible on cross-border/temporary basis. Prior to commencing the service, you must submit a written application to the competent authority.


The provider that is established and meets the conditions for the pursuit of craft activities in the EU Member States, EEA or the Swiss Confederation, may occasionally carry out craft activity without establishment in the Republic of Slovenia. Before the first pursuit of an activity, the provider must lodge an application with the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia.
