Other transportation support activities (52.290)

This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement and pursuit of an activity are established. 

Regulations and conditions:

  • Act Implementing the Customs Regulations of the European Community (ZICPES)

     Representation at customs authorities, customs clearance of goods, agency business

    Article 6 of the Act stipulates that a person implementing agency business within its activity must meet the following conditions:
    • have its head office or permanent residence in the area of the ZICPES implementation (i.e. Slovenia),
    •  retain or employ a person who has:
    •  at least secondary vocational education and
    •  passed a special professional examination, or employs at least one person with suitable professional education who has passed the special professional examination.
  • The General Customs Directorate issues to the person meeting these conditions a licence to provide agency business in customs matters.

    Article 2 of the Decree stipulates that legal entities and sole entrepreneurs meeting the conditions of the first paragraph of Article 6 of the ZICPES must obtain a licence from the General Customs Directorate of the Republic of Slovenia, which is not transferable.

    Natural persons with at least secondary vocational education who pass a special professional examination under Article 11 of the Decree may obtain the licence, which is not transferable and is issued on the basis of Article 8 of the Decree by the General Customs Directorate.

    The examination includes the thematic fields prescribed in Article 11 and takes place before an appointed five-member committee whose members must have at least higher professional education. The committee is appointed by the General Customs Directorate and includes two of its representatives.

  • other goods-handling operations, such packing, repackaging, sorting, control.

Performance of the activity in Slovenia is not possible on Cross-border/temporary basis.
