Processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans and molluscs (10.200)

This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement and pursue of an activity are established. 

Regulations and conditions:

  • Regulation (EC) 853/2004 laying down specific hygiene rules for on the hygiene of foodstuffs and Rules on the establishments carrying out activities involving food of animal origin

  • Before placing foodstuffs on the market, the facilities in the area of production, processing and marketing foodstuffs are required to register in the register kept by the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection (UVHVVR).

  • Regulation on supplementary activities in agriculture

  • A supplementary farm activity may start to be implemented after the finality of the permit for the pursuit of supplementary farm activity and after all conditions determined by the sector regulations for the start of pursuing an individual supplementary activity are fulfilled.

    Applies to the following activities/services:

  • processing of aquatic organisms.

Activities/services which are classified in this sub-class of the standard classification of activities:

They include:
  • processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans and molluscs: freezing, deep-freezing, drying, smoking, salting, canning, immersing in saline water etc.
  • production of fish, crustacean and mollusc products: fish fillets, caviar, caviar substitutes etc.,
  • production of fish, crustacean and mollusc flour, groats and pellets,
  • production of feeding stuffs from fish and other marine animals.

This class also includes:

  • activities of ships, equipped only for processing and preserving of fish, algae processing.
