Veterinary activities (75.000)

This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement of an activity are established. 

Regulations and conditions:

  • Veterinary Service Act

Veterinary activities in veterinary organisations may be independently performed by veterinarians who are doctors of veterinary medicine with a veterinary license.

In order to obtain a decision from the Veterinary Chamber regarding the verification of a veterinary organisation, veterinary organisations must be established as companies or sole traders in accordance with regulation concerning companies.

In order to perform activities of a public veterinary organisation arising from Articles 51 and 52 of the Veterinary Service Act, verified veterinary organisations must also obtain a concession from the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection (UVHVVR) on the basis of a public tender. In order to perform DDD veterinary activities, the service provider must first obtain a decision of the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection (UVHVVR) concerning the fulfilment of the required conditions and then also a concession from the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Food Safety, Veterinary Sector and Plant Protection (UVHVVR) for the performance of DDD activities on the basis of a public tender.

This subclass includes activities that may be performed in veterinary clinics, hospitals as well as in the field, in private facilities or elsewhere.

This includes:

  • the treatment and health protection of animals.

This also includes:

  • activities of veterinarians and auxiliary veterinary staff;
  • veterinary clinic;
  • the vaccination of animals, also by placing baits;
