Approved medical practitioner for health control of exposed workers

An approved medical practitioner for health control of exposed workers must have an authorisation for the provision of health control of exposed workers, which is obtained if he or she fulfils the required conditions regarding education, work experience and professional training.



  • The authorisation is issued to the medical practitioner for implementing medical supervision of exposed workers by the minister competent for health, if the medical practitioner fulfils the prescribed conditions.

    The authorised medical practitioner must also fulfil the following conditions to implement medical supervision: 

    • they must have appropriate education,
    • work experience,
    • training that is regularly renewed.


Cross-border provisions of profession

Performance of the profession in Slovenia is not possible on Cross-border/temporary basis.
