Market in Financial Instruments Act (ZTFI-1)

A stock exchange (regulated market) in the Republic of Slovenia may be operated only by a market operator authorised by the Securities Market Agency (ATVP). Other trading venues (multilateral and organised trading facilities) may be operated by a brokerage company, a bank or a market operator that holds an authorisation for this service.

Cross-border/temporary provisions of activity

Operating a stock exchange in Slovenia requires an ATVP authorisation. Trading venues authorised in another EU/EEA Member State may give participants in Slovenia remote access to trading, after notifying their home supervisory authority.
