• Act Regulating the Realisation of the Public Interest in the Field of Culture

  Cultural worker/self-employed professional in culture: An individual may independently pursue an activity in culture as a self-employed professional in culture if they are entered in the register of self-employed professionals in culture at the Ministry of Culture.

• Act Journalist

  The status of an independent journalist is acquired upon entry in the register of independent journalists at the Ministry of Culture after the preliminary opinion of the registered professional organisation of journalists.

• Decree on supplementary activities in agriculture

  A supplementary farm activity may begin after the finality of the permit for the pursuit of the supplementary farm activity and after all conditions determined by the sectoral provisions for starting an individual supplementary activity are fulfilled.

Applies to the following activities/services:

• manufacture of, and designing with, ceramic materials;
• artistic stone-cutting - replicas of old stone vessels and similar;
• manufacture of mascots;
• manufacture of replicas of Slovenian cultural heritage items;
• hand-painting of various items - replicas of chests, beehive panels, glass paintings and other products of Slovenian heritage;
• decorative design from natural and artificial materials.

• Small Business Act

  For activities on the List of activities usually carried out as a craft, business entities registering these activities must also enter in the register of crafts at the Chamber of Craft and Small Business of Slovenia (OZS) ex officio.

Applicable to the following activities/services:

• restoration of works of art or museum artefacts, e.g. paintings;
• unique hand-painting of china, glass, ceramics, wood etc.;
• manufacture of unique products of Slovenian cultural heritage.

This class includes:

• activities of independent artists, such as sculptors, painters, cartoonists, engravers, etchers etc.;
• activities of independent writers, for all genres, including fictional writing, technical writing etc.;
• activities of independent journalists;
• restoring works of art and museum artefacts, such as paintings etc.

• unique hand-painting of china, glass, ceramics, wood etc.;
• manufacture of unique products of Slovenian cultural heritage.
