Geo-engineering and related activities (71.121)

This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement of an activity are established. 

 

Regulations and conditions:

 

    • Land Survey Service Act

    • A land surveying and mapping company may begin to perform its activities if it has insurance for damage liability and if it can provide cooperation with a responsible land surveyor on the basis of an employment agreement. A land surveying and mapping company may be placed on a list of land surveying and mapping companies at the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers. Procedures for drafting a detailed report regarding the definition of parcel boundaries, new measurements, parcel boundary adjustment, land consolidation and land allotment and marking boundaries in nature may only be carried out by a land surveyor with a land surveyor ID card who is entered into the  Directory of Land Surveyors at the Slovenian Chamber of Engineers.

  • The Act on the State Land Survey Reference System

    This Act sets forth the national land surveying and mapping reference system and the tasks and  competencies for its establishment, management and maintenance. The national land surveying and mapping reference system is composed of the national spatial coordinate system and the national topographic system. The tasks of establishing, managing and maintaining the national geodetic reference system are carried out by the Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia.

    Geodetic measurement according to this Act may be performed by an individual who has at least the education acquired by attending a first-level higher-education professional study programme, or equivalent education, in the field of land surveying and mapping (hereinafter: expert land surveyor). Individual technical tasks within the scope of performing geodetic measurements may be carried out by another person in accordance with the instructions of an expert land surveyor.

These include:

 

  • geological and mining studies:
  • geophysical, geological, geochemical and seismological measurements and the observance of the surface of the earth with the purpose of studying its underground structure and oil deposits, natural gas, minerals and water;
  • land surveying and mapping activities:
  • topographic measurements of boundaries and land allotments;
  • hydrographic measurements;
  • measurements of buildings;
  • measurements for the purpose of mapping and spatial information systems, including photogrammetry;

Activities/services added under the questions and answers table (SURS):

  • Geodetic photograph of a route;
  • route layout;
  • route layout prior to excavations for installing underground lines (excluding construction work);
  • providing energy certificates for buildings (in the event that an energy certificate refers to a product based on measurements, this is classified under 71.200; in the event of recalculated expert appraisals, the product is classified under 71.121);
