Implementation of mariner training

Mariners are trained by training services providers who have an authorisation for training.

Training provider ensures a complete training of mariners in accordance with programmes, including the methods and means for implementation, learning procedures and materials.

The training provider must provide an expert who performs the training of mariners on a ship or on land.

Prior to the beginning of training, the Slovenian Maritime Administration must be notified on the day of the start and the duration of training, the number of participants, schedule including subjects and lecturers.

Every participant who is trained receives a certificate on training from the training provider, if the participant attended at least 80 percent of the exercises.
