Implementation of the railway transport sub-system verification procedure on the national level
The procedure of verifying structural and operational sub-systems in the railway system on the national level is performed by a legal entity appointed by the ministry, competent for infrastructure.
Structural sub-systems are:
- infrastructure,
- energy,
- management – vehicle management and signalisation,
- rail vehicles.
Operational sub-systems are:
- transport management and operations,
- maintenance,
- telematics applications for passenger and
- cargo transport.
The verification procedure on the national level is a procedure where the appointed authority verifies or confirms upon the contracting authority's or producer's request that the sub-system or part of the sub-system has been built, upgraded and rehabilitated in accordance with national requirements.
The verification of sub-systems or parts of sub-systems on the national level is implemented on interoperable main tracks for the parts of the sub-system where technical specifications for interoperability are not applied (TSI), and for all sub-systems or parts of sub-systems on interoperable tracks.
The appointed authority which is competent for verification on the national level, prepares a certificate on verification which is intended for the contracting authority. The declaration of verification on the national level is issued by the contracting authority based on the verification certificate.
This is a document that bases on data that arise from the verification procedure for sub-systems or parts of sub-systems on interoperable and non-interoperable tracks. It must be written in Slovenian language.
