Activities/services which are classified in this subclass of the standard classification of activities:

These include:

  • the operation of blast furnaces, steelworks, re-rolling mills, etc.;
  • manufacture of pig iron and speculum metal, in ingots or other primary forms;
  • manufacture of iron powder from pig iron;
  • manufacture of iron alloys;
  • manufacture of stainless steel and other alloy steel in ingots or other primary forms;
  • manufacture of intermediate products from iron, alloy or non-alloy steel, with the exception of cold formed or processed:
  • bars, angles and other shapes;
  • flat rolled products;
  • manufacture of iron or steel piles;
  • manufacture of rails and other parts for railway lines
