Manufacture of other inorganic basic chemicals (20.130)

This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement and pursue of an activity are established. 

 

Regulations and conditions:

 

    • Chemical Act

Legal and natural entities who produce hazardous chemicals in the Republic of Slovenia, who trade in hazardous chemicals or use hazardous chemicals, classified as classified as very toxic (T+) or toxic (T), must have authorisation for producing hazardous chemicals, trading with hazardous chemicals or use of hazardous chemicals, classified as very toxic (T+) or toxic (T). The authorisation is issued by the authority, competent for chemicals.

    • Regulation (EC) No 273/2004 on drug precursors

Drug precursors

Licence or registration is issued by the competent authority responsible for chemicals, for the operators who carry out their activities with drug precursors. The operators must obtain a license or a registration prior to commencing the activity. For Group 1, the operators must obtain a license. For Group 2 and Group 3, the operators must obtain a registration.

Strategic Materials Act

Prior to the commencement of strategic activities, the taxable persons must notify the competent authority and/or obtain permit for carrying out strategic activities.

The permit is issued by the competent authority responsible for chemicals.

    • Ionising Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Act

If during the exercise of the activity the exposure of individuals to ionising radiation from an artificial source; or from a natural radiation source, where natural radionuclides are processed for their radioactive, fissile or fertile properties is increased, the operator must comply with additional conditions.

Activities/services which are classified in this sub-class of the standard classification of activities:

 

 

This class includes:

 

  • manufacture of chemical elements except industrial gases and metals,
  • manufacture of inorganic acids except nitric acid,
  • manufacture of alkalis, lyes and other inorganic bases except ammonia,
  • manufacture of other inorganic compounds,
  • roasting of iron pyrites,
  • manufacture of distilled water,
This class also includes:
  • enrichment of uranium and thorium ores
  • processing of spent nuclear fuel.
