Stripping of wild indigenous fish species
Stripping is the removal of the germ cells of sexually mature fish for further farming of indigenous fish species. It is carried out in reserves for breeding fish as well as in other parts of a fishing environ set forth in the fish farming plan. The reserve for breeding fish is a zone intended for obtaining sexual products for the farming of indigenous fish species.
- The manner and implementation of the harvesting and the stripping of breeding fish
The stripping of certain species of breeding fish in a certain fishing environ may only be performed by the fishing management provider who must prepare minutes concerning each harvest and stripping of breeding fish. The harvest of breeding fish may only be carried out by a fishing worker professionally trained for a specific type of harvesting who has passed a professional examination for fish farmers.
The harvest of breeding fish may be carried out in a manner and with means that do not harm the fish and the spawning grounds and that it does not affect the spawning of other fish. Stripping is immediately carried out at the site where the breeding fish are harvested. Breeding fish may be kept at the fish farming facility for a maximum of 30 days after the harvest.
The breeding fish of the brown and of the marble trout that are not yet in the phase suitable for stripping at the time of the harvesting, may be relocated to a fish farming facility with a permit for farming fish for restocking.
Immediately after stripping, the breeding fish should be released into water at the harvesting site or into the river of origin.
Records concerning the performed harvests and the stripping of breeding fish are kept in the fishing cadastre, and they include the following data:
- fish species,
- date and time of harvesting;
- harvesting site;
- number of harvested breeding fish according to gender;
- number of stripped breeding fish according to gender;
- number of stripped roe;
- number and site of the release of the breeding fish.
In the event of the relocation of the breeding fish into a fish farming facility, the following data is also included:
- data on the fish farming facility;
- the species and the number of relocated breeding fish;
- the date of stripping;
- the number of stripped breeding fish according to gender;
- number of stripped roe;
- date, number, and site of the release of breeding fish.
