Support activities for crop production (01.610)

This SCA code includes activities and services for which entrance and/or other conditions for the commencement and pursuit of an activity are established. 

 

Regulations and conditions:

 

  • Plant Health Act

Monitoring and foreseeing harmful organisms and expert tasks in the field of plant health provided within the public service of plant health protection are carried out by public institutions, entities subject to public law, and other natural and legal entities meeting the required personnel and spatial conditions and conditions regarding equipment.

  • Agriculture Act

Staff that manage agricultural and forestry mechanisation and equipment must pass a test on safety at work to perform services with agricultural and forestry mechanisation.

  • Decree on supplementary activities in agriculture

A supplementary farm activity may be implemented after the finality of the permit for the pursuit of supplementary farm activity and after all conditions determined by the sector regulations for pursuing an individual supplementary activity are fulfilled. Applies to the following activities/services:
  • work with tractor and other mechanical equipment;
  • implementing special manual farm work on other agricultural holdings.

Activities/services which are classified in this sub-class of the standard classification of activities:

 

This include: services related to crop production on a fee or contract basis:

  • preparation of fields
  • sowing and bedding
  • treatment of crops
  • crop spraying, including by air
  • pest control
  • pruning of fruit trees and vines
  • transplanting of rice, thinning of beets
  • harvesting
  • maintenance of agricultural land
  • operation of agricultural irrigation equipment

This class also includes:

  • provision of agricultural and forestry machinery with operators and crew

  • Ploughing of vineyard, pasture, orchard;
  • Installation and maintenance of irrigation systems;
  • Mechanical work with tractor as an aid in orchards when installing anti-hail nets;
  • Land levelling, distribution of organic manure, arrangement of land after tillage, arrangement of land after bedding;
  • Sowing, baling, grass silage compaction, maize sowing, making of, and transport of, bales;
  • Services of sowing and harvesting;
  • Services with agricultural mechanisation and equipment (Several activities are possible in relation to services with agricultural mechanisation: SKD 01.610 Support activities for crop production; SKD 01.620 Support activities for animal production; SKD 77.310 Renting and leasing of agricultural machinery and equipment);
  • Growing beneficial organisms for the purpose of biological plant protection.
