Test stations in bee-keeping
A test station in bee-keeping is an approved organisation performing tests of production and other properties of bees in the area of one or more municipalities of administrative units, taking into consideration the division of areas according to a particular ecotype of the Carniolan honey bee.
In order to perform the tasks of test stations, an organisation must be entered into the Test Station Register on the basis of an issued decision on the approval of a test station.
Testing procedures and manners as well as comparative tests are carried out in accordance with the breeding programme implemented by a recognised breeding organisation in bee-keeping. A breeding programme includes the methods and measures for the breeding of domestic animals of a certain species or breed.
Test station tasks are performed by a test station manager.
