Training for chemicals advisors
Training on the regulations on producing, storing and trading in chemicals in the Republic of Slovenia includes attending courses and taking tests of knowledge.
Courses and tests are organised by authorised organisations in cooperation with, and under instructions from, the head of the Chemical Office of the Republic of Slovenia.
Only a reasonable number of organisations are authorised, so that quality training is provided, with geographical distribution also being taken into account.
The course encompasses the following areas of knowledge, which are discussed in the form of lectures according to individual fields in the anticipated number of school periods:

Applicants who wish to pursue this activity must register the business activity, and have the appropriate legal status.

Courses and knowledge tests can be organised by authorised organisations which are authorised by the minister responsible for health upon the proposal of the competent chemicals authority.
For acquiring the authorisation, the organisation should submit an application to the competent authority, i.e. in written or electronic form including:
- data on the implementation of similar courses,
- data on the envisaged course price and
- data on premises and equipment required for the implementation of the course.

The authorised organisation issues certificates confirming that candidates have successfully passed their tests.
The certificate referred to in the preceding paragraph contains:
- the letterhead and stamp of the authorised organisation,
- name, surname, the place and date of birth of the candidate,
- data on when the candidate passed the test, sequential number of the certificate,
- signature of the president of the committee and
- signature of the director of the authorised organisation.
In addition to the original certificate, the authorised organisation also issues two copies. One copy is kept in the record of conducted courses and tests and the other is submitted to the competent authority for chemicals.Legal basis

Organisations authorised to carry out training keep records on courses and tests of knowledge conducted, which are made available to the competent inspector at request.
The record referred to in the preceding paragraph contains:
- applications for participation in the course and tests of knowledge,
- minutes on the tests of knowledge, and
- a copy of the test certificate.
