Authorisation for the provision of DDD activities
DDD activities can be implemented by legal and natural entities who fulfil the conditions under these rules and based on the authorisation issued by the minister of health.
The authorisation acquisition is conditioned by the fulfilment of conditions with regard to the suitability of premises and equipment, keeping records and employing appropriate professional staff.
Conditions
These terms apply to activity Disinfection, disinsectization and deratization under the Contagious Diseases Act

The holder of the activity is obliged to ensure suitable premises:
- an office with a telephone and fax machine;
- premises for workers;
- wardrobe with a shower and toilet;
- premises technically suitable for the storage of devices and agents;
- premises for the temporary storage of residue of agents and packaging used during the implementation of the activity;
- storage facility technically suitable for storing hazardous chemicals.

At least the following equipment and devices must be provided for the implementation of the activity:
- containers for the preparation of diluent;
- pressure pump with atomisers;
- micro-spraying apparatus;
- motor sprayer;
- electric atomiser for cool mist-spraying;
- electric sprayer with increased pressure and hot water;
- swingfog machine;
- transporting device;
- bags for transferring and transporting deratisation baits;
- residual chlorine meter;
- cooler bag for sample transport;
- first-aid equipment with appropriate antidotes;
- resuscitation kit, and personal protective clothing.

The holder of the activity must provide the following personal protection equipment:
- working clothes, footwear and headwear;
- protective safety glasses;
- protective gloves;
- plastic gloves and single use disposable footwear;
- special protective masks with suitable filters.

The holder of the activity must provide at least the following means for protection of premises and the environment:
- warning leaflets and notifications (also in the language of the minority in bilingual regions) on the type, place and time of implementation of the activity;
- adhesive tapes;
- plastic foils;
- portable fire extinguisher;
- container for remains of bait and animal carcasses, and decontamination agents.

The providers of disinfection, disinsection and deratisation services (DDD activities) must keep a record on implemented procedures and the purchase and use of biocidal products and must report this to the local competent institute of public health and the Health Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia.
Legal entities and natural persons implementing DDD activities must keep records on procedures performed and the purchase and use of pesticides. They must report this to the local competent institute of public health and the Health Inspectorate of the Republic of Slovenia no later than by 31 January for the previous year.

Qualified staff must be available for the implementation of DDD activities. The head of DDD activity is an individual with appropriate education.

The head of individual works is an individual who is determined for the management of works that are determined by the DDD manager. This person must have an appropriate education.

A DDD technician normally performs basic works connected with disinfection, disinsection and deratisation. The DDD technician must have appropriate education.
