Decision on the appointment of a universal service provider in a public communication network

The universal service provider is appointed by the Agency for Communication Networks and Services of the Republic of Slovenia (AKOS).

The Agency issued the decisions after performing a situation analysis of individual services under the universal service scope, i.e. in the public consultation procedure and after the concluded public tender procedure.

TSmedia, d. o. o. company has been selected as the universal service provider of ensuring an access to the universal phone book and universal service for providing information on subscribers.

Telekom Slovenije, d. d. company has been selected as the provider of the universal service of connecting to a public communication network and accessing public phone services at a fixed location, ensuring national and international calls and public phone booths or other access points for public voice telephony.

The decisions are issued for a five-year period, with the exception of the decision for determining the provider of the universal service including the connection to public communication network and access to public phone services at a fixed location and ensuring national and international calls, which is valid for two years.
