Decision on the issue of postage stamps and prepaid stationery

The procedure of the issue of decisions of postage stamps and prepaid stationery differs and depends on the needs of postal transactions.

REGULAR POSTAGE STAMPS

A committee is appointed for the issue of regular stamps, which confirms the series of regular stamps or the name of an individual regular stamp.

Following confirmation of a series of regular stamps, Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. publishes a public tender to select a designer for the series of regular stamps or an individual regular stamp. Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. selects the designer by issuing a decision and concluding a contract with the relevant designer. The committee confirms the designer. The committee confirms the motif and designs of the series of regular stamps or individual regular postage stamp and proposes to Pošta Slovenije the issue of the regular postage stamp.

COMMEMORATIVE POSTAGE STAMPS

No later than by 31 January of the current year, Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. publishes a call for the selection of names of commemorative stamps for the relevant year; the call lasts at least three months. No later than to 30 September of the current year, the committee confirms the names of commemorative stamps based on the proposals of Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. After selecting the names and determining the total number of commemorative stamps, the proposal must be sent to the competent authority for approval. After the approval of the competent authority, Pošta Slovenije publishes the annual programme in its official newsletter. This is followed by a public tender for the selection of a designer for an individual commemorative stamp. A decision is issued on the selection of the designer, and a contract is concluded with the relevant designer. The committee must confirm and issue the consent for the selected designer. Prior to the issue of the commemorative postage stamp, the committee issues a decision.

Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. adopts general terms and conditions and a price list for the issue of personalised stamps. Reprinting of different motifs may be ordered at Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. by natural persons and legal entities.

PREPAID POSTAL STATIONARY

The size, form and content of prepaid stationary is subject to the authority of Pošta Slovenije d.o.o. Motifs and artistic solutions for illustrated cards and postcards and commemorative prepaid letters are approved by the committee by a decision.
