Entry in the register of grape and wine growers

Any natural entity who is the owner of an agricultural holding or legal entity or sole entrepreneur can be entered in the register. Entities who must be registered are the producers or grape and wine who process more than 0.05 ha or more vineyards or less, if they market grape, wine or other grape products and wine products.

The procedure for the entry in the register is initiated based on the application of the producer sent to the administrative unit, which must contain data on the producer and data on the vineyard (if they process it).

The procedure for the entry in the register is introduced by an administrative unit ex officio, if it is established based on the entry or change of data in the register of agricultural holdings that the producer must be entered in the register.

The certificate on the entry in the register is the extract from the register which is issued by the administrative unit.

The register manages 30 administrative units with head offices within the wine-growing area in Slovenia.
