Entry in the register of sport workers
A private sport worker must be entered in the register of sport workers.
The entry is made based on the proposal for entry, which is lodged via the prescribed form at the relevant authority.
The application must be sent in electronic form to the address of the main ministry's office at gp.mizs(at)gov.si or (exceptionally) in written form to: Ministrstvo za izobraževanje, znanost in šport, direktorat za šport, Masarykova 16, 1000 Ljubljana. Applications sent by fax or to other e-mails won’t be considered.
The applicant is entered in the register for an indefinite time, however, they must regularly inform the relevant authority on modifications in relation to the conditions for the entry in the register.
The entry in the register is conditioned with appropriate education and qualification, licence, no court conviction, proficiency in Slovenian and have permanent residence in the Republic of Slovenia.

Applicants must have suitable education in the field of sports.

Applicants must be suitably professionally competent in accordance with the list of approved training programmes in sports.

Applicants must have a licence to pursue a sport activity if a licence is prescribed. Licences are issued by the Olympic Committee of Slovenia at the proposal of the relevant national sports association.

Applicants must have a certificate that they have not been prohibited from pursuing a sport activity with a final decision.
The certificate must not be older than 30 days at the time of submitting the application for the entry in the register.

Applicants must have active knowledge of Slovenian.
A certificate of active knowledge of Slovenian must be submitted by applicants who are not citizens of the Republic of Slovenia.
