Fire protection authorisation
The right to perform fire protection shall be acquired by means of an authorisation. The authorisation shall be issued by the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief. Requirements for obtaining the authorisation:
- property protection licence;
- employment of a minimum of five security guards who passed the test in the knowledge and sufficient training in safety at work;
- direct and constant communication between the security control centre and the security guards (possible agreement with the security control centre on performing technical security tasks);
- suitable vehicle equipment for the performance of fire control. A minimum of two fire extinguishers shall be installed in vehicles, namely an ABC dry chemical fire extinguisher with a fire extinguishing capacity of 27A, 144B and a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher with a fire extinguishing capacity of 144B.
The applicant shall submit to the Administration of the Republic of Slovenia for Civil Protection and Disaster Relief an application for the issue of an authorisation.
The authorisation is issued for an unlimited period. At least once a year, the holders of the right to perform fire safety measures shall enable their employees indicated on the authorisation to update their skills and receive fire safety training. Records shall be kept concerning fire safety training.
