For acquiring the authorisation for the title deck watch officer on a ship with gross tonnage to 500, the individual must fulfil the conditions with regard to appropriate age, they must undergo training, have appropriate navigation experience and be healthy.
The authorisation for the title is issued in Slovene and English.
