A new, refreshed image of the Slovenian Business point portal
Dear users of the Slovenian Business Point portal
The portal has come to life in a new and refreshed image, which, in addition to the new visual image of the site and articles, offers more transparent content and new functionalities. An advanced search engine is set up to facilitate and speed up the search for information. You can now submit your opinion or suggestions about the portal to help improve the user experience. You can also view the content in a more friendly way on various devices (mobile phones, tablets, computers, etc.).
The Slovenian Business Point portal, now available at spot.gov.si/en/, is the Slovenian Single Contact Point for entrepreneurs, which provides information to domestic and mostly foreign citizens to facilitate their business in Slovenia. The foundation of the portal date back to 2012, when the EUGO Slovenia Business Point was established. The central part of the EUGO portal was to present information on the conditions to perform regulated activities and professions in the Republic of Slovenia. In this way, Slovenia fulfils the commitments of European directives and makes it more friendly and easier to operate on the market in the Republic of Slovenia.
The portal provides numerous information about the start-up of the company and the conditions for doing business. You will find answers to questions about:
- how to open a business in Slovenia,
- what you need to know about taxes,
- about employment,
- what permits you need to pursue activities and professions,
- and much more.
Information on the entire SPOT points network are also available. The portal is part of the SPOT system, the Slovenian Business Point, which offers a comprehensive system of state support and free services for business subjects. SPOT points are available to potential entrepreneurs, companies and business entities throughout Slovenia and provide free assistance, information, and advice.
Through the Slovenian Business Point portal, citizens of some European countries can also submit an electronic application for registration in the craft register – temporary performance of craft activities in the Republic of Slovenia. Information on who can submit an application and in what way is available here. We are also planning to develop new electronic services in the future.
