Conservation activity
The conservation activity include a wide range of activities for the conservation and protection of cultural heritage, from research, evaluation, guidance and control of interventions, as well as the promotion and popularization of heritage and cooperation with owners and other users of heritage.
The conservation activity can be performed by conservators, conservatory co-workers and conservation technicians with a professional exam.
It follows the principles determined by the expert experience, statutory provisions, international agreements and recommendations. In addition to the importance of the heritage as a common memory of the humankind on the development of the individual and society, they promote the importance of accessibility, irreplaceability and authenticity of the heritage.

A conservator is a specialist for the protection of cultural heritage. A conservator must have at least high education and passed professional examination in the field of conservation. A conservator keeps record, evaluates, researches and in particular preserves cultural heritage. A conservator harmonises the measures for heritage protection and advises owners on a comprehensive care of preservation and promotes the heritage and its integrated preservation.
