 Legal and natural entities who produce hazardous chemicals in the Republic of Slovenia, who trade in hazardous chemicals or use hazardous chemicals, classified as classified as very toxic (T+) or toxic (T), must have authorisation for producing hazardous chemicals, trading with hazardous chemicals or use of hazardous chemicals, classified as very toxic (T+) or toxic (T). The permit is issued by the authority, competent for chemicals.

Drug precursors

Licence or registration is issued by the competent authority responsible for chemicals, for the operators who carry out their activities with drug precursors.
   

The operators must obtain a license or a registration prior to commencing the activity.

For group 1, operators to obtain a license. For Groups 2 and 3, the operators must obtain a registration.

• Strategic Materials Act

  Prior to the commencement of strategic activities, the taxable persons must notify the competent authority and/or obtain permit for carrying out strategic activities based on Article 9 of the Strategic Materials Act.

  The permit is issued by the authority, competent for chemicals.

This sub-class includes the manufacture of chemicals using basic processes, such as thermal cracking and distillation. The output of these processes are usually separate chemical elements or separate chemical compounds.
This class includes:

• manufacture of other organic basic chemicals:
• acyclic hydrocarbons, saturated and unsaturated;
• cyclic hydrocarbons, saturated and unsaturated;
• acyclic and cyclic alcohols, including synthetic ethanol;
• mono;
• other oxygen-function compounds, including aldehydes, ketones, quinones and dual or poly oxygen-function compounds;
• synthetic glycerol;
• nitrogen-function organic compounds, including amines;
• charcoal and other products of dry distillation of wood, coal, tar other organic compounds;
•  manufacture of technical alcohol and esters with fermentation of organic compounds;
• manufacture of synthetic aromatic products.

This class also includes:

• manufacture of rennet.
