Investment Funds and Management Companies Act

A management company is a legal entity with its head office in the Republic of Slovenia which executes investment fund management services based on the Agency's permit.

This sub-class entails units organised for combining securities or other financial means without management and in the name of shareholders and eligible persons. Portfolios are intended to achieve certain features of financial investments such as distribution, risk, yield, price trends etc. These units earn from interest, dividends and other financial income from assets; however, they have few or no employees and no revenue from the sale of services.

This activity includes:

open investment fund activity;
closed investment fund activity;
trust fund activity, real property or representation accounts which the units manage for beneficiaries under a trust agreement, will or representation agreements.
