Authorisation for the performance of courses and knowledge tests
Courses and knowledge tests can be organised by authorised organisations which are authorised by the minister responsible for health upon the proposal of the competent chemicals authority.
For acquiring the authorisation, the organisation should submit an application to the competent authority, i.e. in written or electronic form including:
- data on the implementation of similar courses,
- data on the envisaged course price and
- data on premises and equipment required for the implementation of the course.

The head of the competent authority for chemicals appoints lecturers for each individual area of knowledge in the field of storage, chemical production and their trading. Individual areas are: Chemicals Act Conditions for production and trading in hazardous chemicals and the role and tasks of a chemical consultant, Storage of hazardous chemicals REACH - general, registration and the chemical safety report REACH - prohibitions and restrictions of use and placing on the market and authorisation, Classification, packaging and labelling of hazardous substances and preparations and safety data sheets, Reporting chemicals data Biocidal products Persistent organic pollutants (POP's) Prior informed consent procedure (PIC) Drug precursor Goods of strategic significance for safety and health Inspection.
Lecturers must possess suitable expert experience and knowledge in the field they intend to lecture. Before being appointed a lecturer in a certain field, candidates for lecturers must prepare a uniform sample lecture and present it to the head of the relevant authority for chemicals.
