Cross-border practice of private security professions
A foreign person that has acquired the right to carry out private security services in their home country must obtain approval from the Ministry of the Interior before carrying out private security services in the Republic of Slovenia. The procedure for awarding approval for performing the activity or service of private security in the Republic of Slovenia shall include verification of whether the foreign person fulfils equal conditions, qualifications and standards as provided for the provision of private security on the basis of the Private Security Act (ZZasV-1).
Prior to the first commencement of providing private security services in the Republic of Slovenia, the Ministry of the Interior shall, on the basis of the person’s application, compare the acquired qualifications with those valid in the Republic of Slovenia and decide in accordance with the Act regulating the procedure for recognising professional qualifications:
