Decision on supplier’s marks
On the basis of a filed request, the Metrology Institute issues to a supplier a decision on the mark of a supplier. Based on this decision, the supplier must submit a stamp with the mark of a supplier to record the pressure mark.
In addition to general information, a request to determine the mark of a supplier also includes the manner for the establishment of conformity of their products, and information about business premises where products are marked or stored to be placed on the market, and about business premises where products are placed on the market.
Conditions

Applicants who wish to pursue this activity must register the business activity, and have the appropriate legal status.

A supplier must register its mark at the Metrology Institute or institution authorised to register marks of suppliers in another Member State in the European Community.
The mark of a supplier that is the manufacturer is composed of two letters of the alphabet in italics. The letters may be imprinted in the field in the form of the mark of a supplier or convex. If the letters are convex, the outer edges of the mark must be convex.
The mark of a supplier that is an importer or manufacturer's representative has the form of a stamp. It is composed of two numbers in italics.
Suppliers who guarantee the conformity of their products by maintaining the prescribed technical documentation mark their products with their marks and a stamp in the shape of the letter S using the computer tool Microsoft Word SL Italic and the size of 0.5 mm.
The shape of the mark is rectangular 1.25 mm wide and 0.8 mm high which may only be imprinted once on articles of precious metals.
When terminating the production, import or representation of a manufacturer, suppliers must notify the Institute and return the mark of a supplier.
Marks of suppliers are valid in the Republic of Slovenia if they are issued in accordance with treaties ratified by the Republic of Slovenia.
