Entry in the register of forest reproductive material suppliers
Legal entities and natural persons involved in the production, marketing or import of forest reproductive material in the Republic of Slovenia and who have at their disposal the land, facilities, machinery or equipment necessary to trade as a supplier, and that provide a professional qualified to trade as a supplier, may be entered in the register of suppliers.
Suppliers who are natural persons may simultaneously be the responsible qualified professional if they meet the conditions of professional competence. Suppliers that are entered in the register of suppliers may obtain seed material, parts of plants and plants from natural regeneration only from seed establishments that are approved by the Slovenian Forestry Institute and entered in the register of seed establishments.

The responsible professional is the natural person responsible for ensuring that the supplier meets its regulatory obligations.
The responsible professional must be a full-time employee of the supplier or perform the tasks of a professional under a contract, and must meet the stipulated qualifications.
Suppliers who are natural persons may simultaneously be the responsible professional if they meet the requirements relating to work experience.

Application for entry in the register of forest reproductive material suppliers
In order to be entered in the register of suppliers, an application must be submitted to the competent authority. The application must contain the identification details of the supplier, details of the supplier's business activity, identification details of the responsible professional and details of the place of production or marketing of the reproductive material (Form 1).
Suppliers who market, condition or store seed material or grows planting stock at different sites must provide the information listed above for each individual site.
All suppliers operating in this field in Slovenia will be entered in the register of forest reproductive material suppliers. The Ministry will enter suppliers in the register on the basis of the issuer's electronic application.
Where and how to apply
You may submit an application for entry in the register of forest reproductive material suppliers electronically via the SPOT portal or in person at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food. The following must be attached as part of the procedure.

You may submit the application:

When filing an application with the competent Ministry, the supplier must report any changes in its address or registered office, its responsible person or legal representative, its business activity, legal form of organisation, responsible professional, and the place and units of production within 30 days of the change.
