Responsible professional of the forest reproductive material supplier
The responsible professional is the natural person responsible for ensuring that the supplier meets its regulatory obligations.
The responsible professional must be a full-time employee of the supplier or perform the tasks of a professional under a contract, and must meet the stipulated qualifications.
Suppliers who are natural persons may simultaneously be the responsible professional if they meet the requirements relating to work experience.
Conditions

The conditions relating to the professional qualifications of the responsible professional are as follows:
- The conditions regarding the education level in accordance with the regulation governing the education and training classification system are:
- A minimum of a level of education corresponding to a completed undergraduate degree course or a level of education corresponding to that obtained after completion of an undergraduate degree course and classified as level 7 in accordance with the law governing the Slovenian Qualifications Framework; or
- a minimum of a level of education corresponding to a completed higher education diploma course adopted before 1 January 1994, and classified as level 6 in accordance with the law governing the Slovenian Qualifications Framework;
- Conditions relating to work experience in producing or marketing reproductive material, as follows:
- a degree in forestry and hunting (0821): at least 1 year; or
- a degree in related fields: at least 3 years.
A degree in related fields includes degrees in the following fields:
- Biology and related sciences (051),
- Agricultural sciences (081),
- Interdisciplinary educational activities, mainly agriculture, forestry, fisheries and veterinary science (088).
Responsible professionals of a supplier not involved in the production of reproductive material must fulfil the professional competence requirements if they have at least a secondary school education in any field and at least 3 years’ work experience in working as a supplier.
