Permit for exceptional actions involving protected animal species
Knowingly harming, poisoning, killing, removing from the wild, hunting, capturing or disturbing animals of protected species is prohibited.
The keeping in captivity of live animals taken from the wild and the possession of dead animals, their parts and derivatives, and structures, if taken from the wild, as well as the transporting, transferring, selling, bartering or offering for sale or barter of such animals is also prohibited.
If there is no alternative and the action will not be detrimental to the favourable status of the species, and subject to a permit, the killing, removal from the wild, capture, disturbance, poisoning or harming of protected animals as defined in the Decree on protected wild animal species may exceptionally be authorised.

Where and how to apply
An application for a permit for exceptional actions involving protected animal species can be submitted:
- in electronic form via the SPOT portal or
- in physical form to the Ministry of Natural Resources and Spatial Planning.
