Expert for producing energy cards
Energy card is a public document with data on energy efficiency of a building with recommendations for increasing energy efficiency. Energy card is mandatory for new buildings and existing buildings in case they are sold or rented for more than one year. The energy card can only be produced by an independent expert upon the client's demand. An independent expert is an individual with the acquired licence of an independent professional for producing energy cards.

The assessment and certification of energy features of buildings requires experience and professional ethics.
The production of energy cards can only be performed by independent experts with licences.
The application for the issue of the licence of an independent expert for the production of energy cards must be sent to the address of the competent ministry. For acquiring the licence for producing energy cards, an individual must have appropriate education, work experience and qualifications.
When the independent professional receives the licence, they also receive the independent professionals’ card for producing energy cards.
Recognition of qualifications acquired abroad
There are following systems for the recognition of professional qualifications acquired in the EU:
