Fisherman natural person
A marine fisherman catches fish and maintains fishing boats, nets, hooks and fishing equipment.
A fisherman is a natural person or individual who has the right to engage in commercial fishing and who may only sell fishery products at first sale to a registered buyer, an auction centre or an approved organisation of producers. They may sell only small quantities of fishery products caught by themselves to a direct final customer (up to 30 kg per buyer).

A fisherman shall send an application together with a declaration to the competent authority.
The register of fishing vessels is maintained by the competent authority. Fishermen who hold a fishing licence as fishermen (natural persons) are entered ex officio in the register of fishermen (natural persons).
The following information is entered in the register of fishermen (natural persons):
- personal identification number (EMŠO);
- tax identification number;
- full name;
- address of permanent residence;
- date of registration; and
- date of deregistration.
Fishermen whose fishing licence has expired and who are not exclusively engaged in commercial marine fishing are deleted from the register of fishermen (natural persons).

Fishermen (natural persons) who are entered in the register of fishermen (natural persons) are obliged to maintain records in the same way as applies to sole traders.
