Repairman for manual and transportable fire extinguishers
A repairman who maintains fire extinguishers must have at least a vocational education in the field of metallurgy or fire fighting and must pass a test administered by fire extinguisher manufacturers or the manufacturer's representative.
A repairman who fills the units with carbon dioxide and maintains the fire extinguishers with carbon dioxide, must pass the required test for technical gas filling operators.
Conditions

The fire extinguisher service technician must have at least professional vocational education in metalworking and fire fighting.
A technician who fill the ampoules with carbon dioxide and maintains fire extinguishers with carbon dioxide, must have at least:
- lower vocational education (3rd level) acquired according to the education programme in mechanical engineering, electrical technology, mining, construction, transport, commerce or chemistry with at least three years of work experience and who after the training successfully passes the test for technical gases filler;
- worker with elementary education who is older than 18 years and has at least five years of work experience and after the training successfully passes the knowledge test for technical gases filler.

The fire extinguisher service technician must pass the test of knowledge at the fire extinguisher producer or the producer's representative.
The technician who fills ampoules with carbon dioxide and maintains extinguishers with carbon dioxide, must pass the prescribed knowledge test for technical gases filler.
The knowledge test for the service technician who fills ampoules with carbon dioxide and maintains fire extinguishers with carbon dioxide, entails theoretical and at least two months of practical professional training. The test of knowledge entails the following contents:
- the basics of gas technology,
- filling pressure tanks,
- physics, chemistry and electrical technology.
