Second engineer officer on a ship with engine with power of between 750 kW and 3000 kW
A second engineer officer is an engineer officer who is second in command to the chief engineer officer and takes over the responsibility for mechanical propulsion of the ship and operation and maintenance of mechanical and electrical devices on the ship in case the chief engineer officer is incapacitated. In order to perform this profession one needs to get an authorisation for the rank of a second engineer officer on a ship with engine with power of between 750 kW and 3000 kW.
Conditions

For acquiring the authorisation for the title second engineer officer on a ship with engine power from 750 kW to 3.000 kW, the individual must fulfil the conditions with regard to appropriate age; they must undergo training, have appropriate navigation experience and be healthy.
The authorisation for the title is issued in Slovene and English.
