Staff authorised for examination of conformity of interoperability constituents in railway transport
The notified body must employ staff which establishes the conformity of interoperability constituents. The staff authorised for examination is responsible for performing the procedures of examining and assessing the conformity of interoperability constituents. The staff which performs examinations must be independent and must not be paid on the basis of the quantity of examinations performed or the results of examinations.
The body's staff are bound to professional secrecy regarding everything they learn while performing their obligations. The staff authorised for examination must be technically and professionally qualified, have satisfactory knowledge of rules regarding the tasks to be carried out, and be adequately qualified to draw up certificates, records and reports.

Staff responsible for verification must possess:
- suitable technical and professional education,
- satisfactory knowledge of regulations related to the reviews they conduct, and
- sufficient practical experience in the field of establishing conformity.
